Vladimir Teterev

Born in 1975, he is a resident of Ukraine's Zaporizhia region.

Detained in August 2022. He was unlawfully held by Russian military forces for four months. Under torture, he made a false confession and admitted guilt in the car bombing of an official from the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, who died at the scene. He was charged with committing a terrorist act involving the use of explosives.

The Final Statement

‘As I stated earlier in my address to the court, I believe we are being convicted unlawfully.’

Your Honour, I had prepared a final statement, but today, as I was being escorted out of my cell, my statement and a motion I had prepared were confiscated without any explanation. So I will simply say this: I do not admit this charge in its entirety. As I stated earlier in my address to the court, I believe we are being prosecuted unlawfully. We had no involvement in the alleged offence. I have nothing further to add. I am not guilty.
