He was detained in March 2018. He was charged with creating and participating in an extremist community. He was sentenced to six years’ probation. He was released on 6 August 2020.

The Final Statement

‘I ask you to acquit us all.’

Your Honour, I fully support the position of my defence. We had no intention of committing any crimes. Our communication in the chat was entirely ordinary.

In view of this, I consider the prosecutor’s demands that we be sentenced to be baseless. This is especially true of Ruslan, Pyotr and Vyacheslav, for whom the prosecutor has requested actual prison sentences.

Your Honour, I ask you to acquit us all.
